Big news. Thank you Andy for firing the starting gun on change. So many have campaigned for PR, some of us for decades! Recognise the scale of challenge ahead to make it happen. But a moment to celebrate the work of Make Votes Count/Matter, Labour Campaign for Electoral Reform, Compass et al.

Burnham: "We don't let people sell food that damages health" Umm, I don't think many people - or even his own Health Dept - would necessarily agree with spirit of that. 10Yr Health Plan recognises need to change current situation: committing to introduce Healthy Food Standards reporting & targets.

My party has got this very wrong. Instead of sending members a fundraising request after the two mega £m Reform donations, Labour should be telling me how they are going to legislate or regulate big money (& crypto money) out of politics. We are in government. There is a Bill to tack it. Just do it!

The logic of this from the Chief Rabbi seems to be: there is nothing that the Natanyahu Govt could do that would merit sanctions, as it would "feed into" a "hostile discourse" about Israel. And it dangerously conflates all Jews with the actions of Likud. Dire on so many levels.

I spent 18 months doing reviews for the past, current, and future uses of AI in public health. They're done and preprinted now, so time for a post. This will be *long*, so, tldr in image. Research funded by NIHR, opinions expressed are mine alone, etc. etc. AI was *not* used to do these reviews.
"There is only limited evidence for the use of AI in public health: the evidence that exists does not strongly support AI-assisted interventions for reducing alcohol drinking, smoking, of physical inactivity, and while there are many proposed uses of AI in public health, there is limited or no evidence for whether those uses will be beneficial, and there are many risks of using AI, some of which are existential in nature."
