Does the tobacco industry's use of #frontgroups to obscure its involvement in #science have an effect on the public's trust in this science? TCRG research found there was more trust in science carried out by #TobaccoIndustry funded groups than directly by tobacco companies. doi.org/10.3389/fcom...

The generational sales ban, a key feature of the UK #TobaccoAndVapesAct, could act as a firebreak in the #TobaccoEpidemic by challenging the idea that there is an age when smoking becomes acceptable. In a 🆕 article @brittakm.bsky.social & Jon Berrick discuss the potential impacts of this approach.

One year ago today, 1 June, the UK’s ban on single-use e-cigarettes was entered into force. Our researchers analysed consultation responses to this ban and found submissions from transnational #TobaccoCompanies and linked organisations that opposed it. Find out more: doi.org/10.1093/heap...
