It can sabotage important fights to pressure politicians and institutions to stop abandoning trans kids, and often the poorest ones whose parents can't afford private care.

A lot of constructive criticism of trans reporting that leans too much into fear has been coopted by certain liberals who have decided that encouraging trans people to pressure liberal politicians, hospitals, and so on is somehow fearmongering. Denial of reality is more dangerous than exaggeration.

eg there's a billion small things about writing styles of AI, like paragraph length, word choice, etc, so inevitably if you look hard enough it's not surprising that some of those indicators would match up with a human writer. but it's all unverifiable and unprovable without concrete evidence
