I don't go to Xitter so I didn't actually see basically any of the art or the original post about the age verification on Discord but uh... is that just straight-up disinformation? Was anyone cheering for it? Because I don't know a single person (that isn't forcing it) who is jazzed about the idea.

Also, at least for me, executive dysfunction isn't an all-the-time kinda thing. It usually hits when I'm getting mildly tired or my meds are hitting a bit harder than usual. But of course, I can't actually tell when it's starting to occur, so I can't really avoid or remedy it by myself...

Fortunately, being the dime store version, executive dysfunction only affects my short term memory. So I lose big chunks of time with hazy-at-best recollection of what happened, but I do still recall things from before it started. It's a bit like a broken record, everything before still plays.

One of my two absolute biggest fears (greater even than spiders) is Alzheimer's Disease because it just quietly dismantles you memory by memory until whatever's left is a hollow vessel that merely resembles you. Executive Dysfunction is like the McDonald's bargain menu version of that in a way.

Executive dysfunction is genuinely one of the scariest things I have to deal with on a regular basis because vast stretches of time just vanish without any solid recollection of what happened during them. I went and got food not 10 minutes ago and I already don't remember actually doing that.

In a weird sense I'm fortunate to be neurodivergent, because it meant I knew upfront that I had to develop a protocol for interacting with others that caused the least amount of backlash. But somewhere along the way the line between mask and self got very blurry and I stopped knowing where I stood.

I feel it's important to note that unknowingly enjoying and being moved by the works of bad people does not mean you are a bad person. The survival function of predators is frequently to seem benevolent enough on the surface to lure in prey. It's not your fault that the lure was effective.
