I don't go to Xitter so I didn't actually see basically any of the art or the original post about the age verification on Discord but uh... is that just straight-up disinformation? Was anyone cheering for it? Because I don't know a single person (that isn't forcing it) who is jazzed about the idea.

There's been a game going around for a while now featuring tanks used essentially like fighting game characters instead of mobile artillery platforms, and it looked Real interesting until I scrolled down on their Steam page. This is literally a game about fighting off an AI army.

AI Generated Content Disclosure
The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI-assisted tools were used during development to assist with programming tasks and to create or refine selected 3D models. All AI-assisted code and 3D assets were reviewed, edited, tested, and integrated by the development team. AI-assisted tools were also used for selected Steam marketing artwork. The game does not generate content with AI during gameplay and does not connect to an external AI service.

It took basically the whole stream just to reorganise the tanks and piping of the chemical plant but then I zoned out and 3 more hours had passed and the yard looked like this. Pretty nice honestly.

A fenced-off yard behind a chemical plant dominated by a steam engine and various large fluid tanks, with pipes coming out of the back of the brick building and going back in from the tanks. Sparse vegetation is present suggesting the area doesn't get maintained often.

She's done a decent enough job keeping her private life obscure, which I'm going to respect and not pry too deeply into, but I will note she's only 3 years older than me. She's a career politician but this is her first actual term as an MP and she's been thrown into the deep end quite a bit.

This is what the Asakusa district of Tokyo looked like in 1945 following the US firebombing campaign. It spanned 3 years and killed over 105,000 people, virtually all of them unarmed civilians with no connection to the Pacific campaign. This is also what most of Palestine looks like right now.

Want huddles close to the Ghost of Christmas Present, whilst Ignorance is almost physically restrained by him as he warns Ebenezer Scrooge of the threat they both pose.

Finally managed to walk the entire length of a Pride march unsupported. Felt like the time for it. Didn't bump into our derelict MP, but I did come prepared.

It might have been an error on my part to start a brand new Aeronautics modpack with absolutely no-one else controlling my access to it... I have done little else over the last few days but build this airship-come-moving-van... including eat...

Key element from the EHRC's own dossier on the Equality Act 2010, as to what constitutes a protected belief. Highlighting mine. Anti-transgender rhetoric cannot be classified as a protected belief because it is entirely predicated on degrading the fundamental rights of others.

The Equality Act also says that a belief must also be worthy of respect in a democratic society and not affect other people’s fundamental rights.

Success! We managed to encode a 3-bit randomised combination lock into datapack files and load it into a dungeon room at generation. This I feel is the lower end of what dungeon puzzles should be, so it's all up from here.

Among many other fascinating educations one could take from the SpaceX stock price, I'm personally appreciating how much it demonstrates that absolutely nothing of material substance can change and still the value of a thing can. Proof perfect the stock market isn't real & shouldn't guide anything.

For #mcartday this time around I have a progress shot on my dungeon generation project. Nothing in this image was pre-coded, not a single room or object was put there by hand, it's all the product of a succession of classical non-LLM procedural generation algorithms. Every corridor, every room.

Venture Bros had both multiple plotlines about male characters feminising for absurd reasons and a husky-voiced cis woman character who at one point explicitly defends her right to use a womens' restroom and somehow this tonal contradiction made me Even Less interested in the show.

Space Engineers testing time. The new Economy II update adds grid storage but with some caveats, so I threw together the smallest useful ship I could conceive of and ran some trials. TLDR Looks like minimum retrieval time is just over 1 minute, max is just under 5 minutes.

A barebones small grid fighter ship. It has nothing that isn't absolutely necessary, consisting of only 11 blocks, half of which are its thrusters.

1114 hours, 126 enemy faction ships sunk, and years of chasing it, I finally have the Legend Curse I've been seeking since season 3 when I picked up Sea of Thieves again. Damn it's good to win some days.

McEvoy was directly contacted by me with over 8000 words on the full composition and threat of the modern anti-trans movement. She was directly addressed, by me, at the Mass Trans+ Lobby, the single largest protest in British history. And it's STILL crickets from her. An empty seat would talk more.

Successfully finished my fresh #SpaceEngineers scripting hyperfixation with a script that monitors nominated cargo containers & assemblers and orders up more items when they dip below a configured threshold. Weirdly it doesn't recognise prototech scrap but can craft it... not sure why there.
