Because of the data gathering methods this number is an undercount by at least an order of magnitude. These data come from press clippings almost entirely in states with no systematic way of recording murders of trans individuals. Everyone quoting this number ought to say so.

There's been about a week of UK papers screaming about the OBR report proving that migrants are a net negative drain on resources. But if you read the report it's just a series of predictive models relying on different assumptions--best, middle, and worst cases (pp.106-107) obr.uk/docs/dlm_upl...
