The perfect night to distract you with the wonders of art history: Monkeys Arresting a Cat at Night, a painting attributed to 17th-century Flemish artist Abraham Teniers
We are in an interior space - some kind of house or tavern. The space is lit by a single lamp, above. A troupe of monkeys, dressed in human garb, are arresting a cat, who is dressed in a red button-up robe.

The idea of a monument to him, especially there, is repugnant, don't misunderstand me. He deserves a simple white headstone like the rest.

Your state is too one sided for your vote to make a difference for president? Someone's running for your library board to block all books with gay characters. Or running for the school board to set official prayers. Or for the election board to pick whose votes get counted. Local matters. Vote.

I made a binder with colored pictures of all the signs our deaf dog knows.
Picture of a binder cover that reads “Cosmo’s Commands: A Guide To Communicating With Our Deaf Doggo”, centered around a picture of Cosmo looking out a window. In the background, Cosmo lies on the couch, staring at the camera.

I will never pass up an opportunity to point out that it costs Gilead approximately $6 to manufacture a month’s prescription of PReP, which would wipe HIV off the face of the planet if widely adopted and which was developed with federal funding, and they sell it at $1,500.

Rivers meander over their course as they continuously erode and deposit sediment. Harold Fisk, a geologist & cartographer working for the US Army Corps of Engineers, mapped the meanders of the mighty Mississippi in 1944 & the results are mesmerizing. ⚒️🧪🪨👇🏼
This is a map depicting the current courses (at the time of mapping) of the Mississippi River. Older courses are mapped in swirls of lovely blue, green, rose, and orange.

At the point that you have Wall Street believing volume production of robotaxis is even worth talking about, you might as well say whatever. Say they will be made for free by the fae folk or some shit. It don't matter. None a this matters.

3/Sites like X's "election integrity" hub are dangerous because the point is not to gather real information about real elections. The point is to make voters pissed off. To magnify their feelings of alienation. To stoke distrust for government and the officials who run elections.
