Ageless Patience elf feat 5

You work at a pace born from longevity that enhances your thoroughness. You can voluntarily spend twice as much time as normal on a Perception check or skill check that takes 1 action or longer. If you do, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus to the check and don't automatically reduce your degree of success on a natural 1 (you get a critical failure only if your result is 10 lower than the DC). For example, you could get these benefits if you spent 2 actions to Seek, which normally takes 1 action. You can get these benefits during exploration by taking twice as long exploring as normal, or in downtime by spending twice as much downtime.

The GM might determine a situation doesn't grant you a benefit if a delay would be directly counterproductive to your success, such as a tense negotiation with an impatient creature.

Couple people have caught this, but yeah, the takeaway from me here isn't about game prices or bad marketing. This is happening with all information constantly. Sub "Switch 2 games" for "trans athletes" and imagine what kind of baseless stuff people are being served constantly.

Wondrous item, Rare (requires attunement by a wizard)

This old and well worn tome has a thick layer of dust that has worked its way into every page of the book. The cover is emblazoned with the words “Ashes to Ashes” and the spine bears a foreboding skull. It smells of old and musty paper and is overall gritty to the touch.

When found, the book contains the following spells, which are wizard spells for you while you are attuned to the book: comprehend languages, detect thoughts, message, suggestion, unseen servant. It functions as a spellbook for you.

While you are holding the book, you can use it as a spellcasting focus for your wizard spells.

Twice per day you can slam this book shut causing a cloud of vile dust to burst from the pages in a 15 foot radius sphere around you that persists for 1 minute. Creatures outside of the dust cloud cannot see into it and creatures within the cloud, other than you, are blinded by it. Creatures other than you that end their turn within the cloud must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be incapacitated until the start of their next turn. This ability resets daily at dawn.

Consumable, Uncommon

This small cosmetic compact has a disconcerting aura around it. The outside is decorated with carved bone that resembles skulls and faces twisted in gnarled screams. When opening the compact, you are assaulted by the smell of death and decay. The mirror inside is shattered in the pattern of a skull and the powder within swirls up to form a ghostly apparition.

You can spend one minute applying this powder to your face granting you the appearance of being undead for the next 1 hour. During that time, you are indistinguishable from a ghoul. If given a reason to suspect that you are not undead, a creature can attempt a DC 17 Investigation check to see through the illusion. While you are under the effects of this compact, you are harmed by healing magic and are healed by necrotic damage. After using this compact once, it loses its magical properties, but can still be used as a normal compact.
