There is absolutely no viable path forward for this country that doesn’t hinge on extreme accountability for everyone involved in this administration. They’re going to whine about politicization and credulous media types will echo them, but the thing is, they’ve committed tons of obvious crimes!

for as long as i've been alive, republicans have ran the same playbook: a few weeks before voting begins, they roll out completely fabricated smear campaigns. these things are always coordinated, so the talking points take over the news. the party is never electorally punished for their dishonesty.

At this stage it doesn't matter to me if this guy is cosplaying. I want a person who talks like this and then promises to back it up to be the next president. If there's somebody who winds up being more convincing than him in the next year or so, I'll vote for that person instead.

Funding for our parks and the very financial foundation of Minneapolis are jeopardized because police spending is out of control. To avoid a reduction in our credit rating and future park service reductions the Mayor and City Council must take action to rein in spending. Please read and share.

It cannot be emphasised enough, it cannot be flung in the faces of the likes of Matt Yglesias often enough, this "popularist" nonsense they're advocating for is politically illiterate and a cowardly unwillingness to simply say what you believe.

Every one of those brave and inspiring people you hear about on the news was exhausted and terrified the whole time. They were sad and angry and wanted to crawl into a hole and not come out. They wished they could have stayed in bed. Then they did it anyway. But they did it scared and sad and tired.

Pastor Carl Ruby, of Springfield's Central Christian Church, can state the issue more clearly than 98% of people working in politics today.
"I wish President Trump could hear the mom's wails. The

family wants people to know that this was a suicide and they

want people to know that President Trump, (Stephen) Miller, and Markwayne Mullin's inhumane immigration policies made this happen," Ruby wrote.

The value of Graham Platner is that right up until all his red flags came toppling down upon him is that he is the most naked example of the amount of grace & credibility Simply Being White grants you. Compared to Abdul El-Sayed, who has to re-earn every ounce of credibility he has on a daily basis.

One of my favorite Wendell Berry’s poems
The Peace of Wild Things
Wendell Berry When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

Reminder that AI is a housing issue. (Kashkar is governor of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve): www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
From the MPR story: [Minneapolis Federal Reserve Governor] Kashkari echoed a statement he made at a St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce event last month. The ongoing data center boom, which has been financed by companies borrowing heavily, raises the demand for capital. That raises interest rates and pulls capital away from less
profitable projects, like, for instance, building housing. That's why, Kashkari said, bringing down mortgage rates isn't as simple as the Fed cutting its benchmark interest rate. There are other factors
at play, such as data centers. "There's a higher return for the economy for that capital to build data centers than to build an apartment building," he said. "So data centers (are) a big deal. It's having a near-term inflationary impact. It's probably pushing
up interest rates across the economy now and for the next several years"
