This is almost certainly true, and the UK fails women refugees in multiple ways, including by refusing safe routes to come here, wrongly rejecting asylum claims, barring family reunion & not recognising trafficking victims promptly or at all. I keep seeing this Semafor graph that seems to show the Trump administration’s effect on international visits is comparable to the pandemic. My first thought was “that can’t be true” and indeed it is not. This is monthly data. We only have to Jun/Aug 2026. The lines are over-fitted to the months.

Went to see Hope, and watched the first 2hrs. Fun alien invasion flick from Korea, with lots of shooting, driving cars too fast, and humour. Someday, when my mom hasn’t locked herself out, I aim to watch the last 30 minutes. 4/5, unless it went badly downhill after I left.
