My current psych doc experience (anecdotes aren't data, etc) has been pretty alright. The doc writes prescriptions cautiously, we talk options, if I give a firm No he doesn't press or just write it anyway.

I used to believe you should never see a psychiatrist more than 3x bc after that they'd start experimenting on you. Which happened to me! But that was 20 years ago & most docs practicing today trained under an entirely different paradigm.
