A new paper came out this week from our lab in @devbiol.bsky.social. This was work I started as a post-doc with @kevinmawright.bsky.social. Here, we investigated the role of Gbx2 and Robo receptors in dendrite stratification of amacrine cells in the retina. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

First paper entirely from our lab is out in the wild! We tested if reprogramming still works in the aged CNS and found the aged retina blocks neurogenesis both intrinsically in Müller glia and through exacerbated inflammation. Then point at some ways to overcome this. www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

I'm excited to share our PNAS paper from 1st author Kasia Hussey. We study how the foveola, the high acuity region of the retina, is patterned by RA and TH. We were surprised to find that cone subtypes appear to convert fates. Our studies are important for AMD sufferers. www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...
