This privilege-to-tinfoil-hat pipeline is likely why lots of disaffected young (White) men like both Bernie and Trump. Both Bernie and Trump have focused on telling young men they're right to feel wronged and giving them someone to blame (billionaires or libs/feminists/immigrants/China/etc.).

So it turns out the whole age-period-cohort thing goes way back, with super cool graphs being generated *in the 1870s.* Check out Keiding (2011): onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...
(Perozzo, 1880a, Tab. V). This representation of the development of the Swedish population 1750–1875 was redrawn by Perozzo from a similar (black) stereogram by Berg (1860). The representation corresponds to Zeuner's stereograms with a (cohort, age) diagram in the horizontal plane. The red lines represent censuses (cross-sections at fixed calendar years) and the blue lines represent the survival of cohorts.(Zeuner, 1869, Figure 1). The Zeuner sheet. Z is the number of individuals born at time Y and still alive at age X.
