Watched THE APPOINTMENT (1982) and it made my skin crawl. The slowest of slow-burn horror films, but suffused in mesmerising nightmare logic and imagery. Very much Robert Aickman-core cinema. You know how it'll end, but it's like standing in the road and seeing a truck bearing down on you.
