This is hilarious. I am one of two people nominated for best host, and the other person is Louis Theroux. It's done by public vote. Vote for me! We can do this!

The next guest in our talk format is the owner of a big brewery. We've met her at half past noon for our pre-interview today. I hadn't eaten before. I've slept nearly 3 hours when I got home this afternoon. Still feeling drunk.

having the rights to the muppets and not being able to work out how to make a muppets tv show feels like having two slices of bread, some butter, a knife, some cheese, and a recipe for a cheese sandwich, and not being able to work out how to make a cheese sandwich

Dreamt about some sort of long form comedy thing that set 'white' as the dress code theme. Which tbf isn't super inspired task writing. But then I got a shirt and painted 3 white lines on it to represent the play 'Art' and that really isn't a bad plan for a sleeping brain to pull off.

Mark Vigeant - Out There
Eleanor Morton - The Mermaid
Scout Boxall - God's favourite
Chrissy Derbyshire - Innards
John Robertson - Excitable Boy
Emma Holland - The Dog Dies at the Start
Annie Rauwerda - Depths of Wikipedia
Adam Riches - The Critic's Way
Flo and Joan - WIP
Anna Leong Brophy - Born sexy yesterday
Tom Cashman - NPC
Ray O'Leary - I can see O'Leary now...
Mark Watson - WIP
Reuben Kaye - Hard to Swallow
Tim Key - Loganberry

Andy Field - Giddy Up (missed it, didn't power walk fast enough)

Made that on a plane. The walk up to the edge was drawn in the driving plane, the moment the bird jumps was drawn in the moment we took off (clouds added later).

Today I got a rejection for a job application that has demanded quite a lot of effort. And I had been quite sure to at least make it to the second round based on what I've sent in. Alas - nope, nothing career wise ever works out for me. ➡️

Another year, another day one. No stress ear pain yet, but I did work for 13 hours, had absolutely no time to eat and I think if a printer would approach me right now I would viciously attack it whether it's willing to connect to a computer or not. So I'm on my way there.

Seems like it's a good time for the Nazis on the Moon film rewatch.
Film poster of Iron Sky. Five people standing in front of an explosion in front of skyscrapers in front of zeppelins and, I think, the moon. Three of them are im Nazi uniforms, one in an astronaut suit, one in Matrix style black leather.
I vaguely remember that the premise of the film was that a Nazi colony survived at the dark side if the moon. The amazing Udo Kier playing the new Führer.

I got my boss a Tim Key book for his birthday saying that it's my favourite book. A week later he excitedly said he's got the perfect book for me and gave me The Little Book of Unsuspected Subversion. I do like it, but mainly I'm chuffed about the level of intellectuality he seems to assume me on.

I wanted to not bother with this world cup mostly. But at this point, living in a neighbourhood that apparently got chosen by fans, 3 hours into the celebrations with the car horns and fireworks not noticeably abating, I'll have to admit it is getting difficult to fully ignore.

Couldn't think of the English word chatting to @joyousechidna.bsky.social earlier and described seals as: the mammals that get eaten by orcas. Which instantly did the trick, but I still feel like I've been a bit disrespectful towards seals.

A new six-part series of P.O.V. starts at 6.30pm on Radio 4, and will be available on BBC Sounds afterwards. It takes people making brilliant video comedy online and asks them to make brilliant audio comedy, which we jumble up into a sketch show. Who's in this first episode of the second series..?

This is probably the oldest toy I've got that's still in use. Happy meal goodie in 1998, joined every trip to the sea since.
A frisbee made from synthetic fabric. A cartoony picture of the mascot of the 1998 football world cup on a football pitch printed on it. A hand is holding the frisbee over the wooden floor of a beach hut, sand visible through the door.
