Man schreibt was ab in seinem Leben.

6/25 The British used La Lutine as a bomb vessel, a ship carrying heavy mortars, to fire on the Republican batteries ashore. Those guns were directed by a young artillery officer called Napoleon Bonaparte. He won. In December the British left Toulon, and took her with them.

Amsterdam, 9 oktober 1811.

Napoleon Bonaparte: Mýty a skutočné dedičstvo
Historik Andrew Roberts rozbíja bežné mýty a odhaľuje komplexnú postavu vojenského génia, politika a reformátora, ktorý zanechal hlbokú stopu v európskych dejinách. ### This post is for subscribers only Become a member to get access to all content Subscribe now

One of the men who helped stop Napoleon at Acre had once sat beside him at school. Antoine de Phélippeaux was a fellow pupil at Brienne, where both boys received the military education that would shape their later careers. The Revolution sent them down very different paths.
