#OTD On Sept 29, 1940, two RAAF Avro Ansons collided and locked together over Brocklesby. The lower plane's engines kept running. After three crew bailed out, the upper pilot controlled the combined aircraft using ailerons and flaps to make a safe paddock landing. All four survived. #WWII #history
