Here's my 9 games. I've put 100s of hours in to each of these games, and if I want to go to a comfy place, will zone out and play these for a couple of hours on the MiSTer.

Yeah, that would've been fine. I assume it was probably the easier edit to just show the news clip full frame though. I also doubt any news network wants an easily manipulable clip on social media with the brand logos on it.

It's against Ofcom regulations. Real News channels in fictional events need to be shown "in context" - i.e they need to have people walking in front of a TV showing the real news channel, rather than having a full screen broadcast. www.ofcom.org.uk/tv-radio-and....

It's an easy misconception to fall into. It will be the same if we successfully tackle climate change, grifters will say, "See, it wasn't an issue! The world didn't burn." They'll ignore that the reason it didn't is because we made a concerted effort to fix it.

I don't want to be all "well, actually 🤓", but the Millennium Bug was real. It didn't cause the predicted large scale chaos because billions were spent and an army of developers was mobilised to patch and fix the problem.

They'll be a lot of chatter about England's PISA results this morning, but we need to talk just as much about Wales. They rejected phonics and knowledge-rich curricula in favour of 'areas of learning', 'skills suites' and barely any testing. Wales is now 40 points below England in every domain.

I remember in my teens, downloading a Skyrim save to my xbox 360 which was fully leveled, had all the skills unlocked and was the end game so that all of the achievements on my xbox would pop when i loaded that save. that's what those save files are for. Retroachievemnts only read the games RAM.

000

Robert Falla-Louvét 🔭🪐🚀 @lanerobertlane.space · 08/08/2026

Also, that comment in the github is misinformed. Retroachievements work in RAM. Those save files are just like any other edited save file you can download but are made so that they have the requirements to pop an achievement. docs.retroachievements.org/general/how-...
