I wish baseball broadcasters would normalize prominently displaying the pitch count at the end of each half inning. Instead they do the literal opposite: the pitch count is there in the scoreboard all inning long, and then it gets swooped away.

I was just watching reels about Epcot Center back in 1982, and thinking about how incredibly lucky I was to be at peak childhood and early adolescence in the 1980s in Florida, with Epcot just a weekend trip away. What a time to be a little nerd.
