Five days (and end of the first calendar month) of Wereconifer. So far, sales are a little higher than I usually get at this point, plus some sales of Werecockroach. I should have enough to cover my website costs until the new year, so that'll relax things a bit.

PLANET SICKNESS by Kat Giles! Small press published sci-fi book about a disabled archivist who discovers discrepancies in the archival records regarding a disasterous space mission 70 years ago. Themes of climate justice, disability justice, and critical librarianship, in a tight sci-fi mystery.

Getting back into some writing today, though at a relaxed pace. In longer stuff, I have a horror novel (probably next) and then a third Werecockroach book. It'd also be nice to finish a few short stories.

It's time to reintroduce The Chronicles of Nerezia as a whole <3 With FRAGMENTED releasing on October 9 and concluding Disc One, I thought we could go back to some basics. Always feels weird to try to encompass so much in so little words 💚 DISCOUNTED ON ITCH: itch.io/s/200863/fra...
The Chronicles of Nerezia. Displays nine covers in a row that form a continuous canva with text below.
An ever-failing apprentice, an anxious artificer lizard, and an amnesiac elf with strange powers travel within a sentient self-propelling wagon, seeking the forest haunting the elf’s dreams. In their quest for answers, they will need to traverse a world haunted by Fragments, dangerous shards that can possess travellers--and will slowly unravel the mystery behind those, too.

WERECONIFER is the sequel to WERECOCKROACH. Some months after the first book, Rin and their friends are asked to help find a missing shapeshifting tree. Generally gentle with a queer found family and also aliens. #AroAce #QueerBookSky More information: www.polenthblake.com/words/weretr...
The cover of WERECONIFER by Polenth Blake is at an angle on a brown background. The cover has hand drawn letters and a Scots pine tree with multicoloured round decorations (lights) drawn with felt tip pens. Captions surround the cover in a childish messy font with arrows pointing at things.

Captions pointing at the tree: pine needles, festive lights, tree.

Captions for the book: aliens wearing socks, book two, queerplatonic, also cockroaches, bonus cats, this is a sequel, i drew this, rainy winter, multiple aspec characters.

"In the Ancient Hallowed Places" Ovenbird with Six-spotted Tiger Beetle 10"x24" oil painting on panel The beautiful conglomerate rocks of an ancient sea floor; buried and lifted and revealed and eroded, the life that once was and is again, complex and beautiful and interconnected across time. 🪶🐡
A long format oil painting showing a cropped rock formation of ancient conglomerate, cracked and looming in its current form by water, ice, and time. A wash of moss and lichens crawls across the surfaces that allowed it to grow, with stunted mountain laurel taking root in the mossy nursery, and large brownish rock tripe lichens clinging here and there. A few aged white oak leaves sit in the moss, bug eaten and worn, and near the center sits an Ovenbird, the tiny stripy warbler pausing in its day. On the rock closest to us on the right is a metallic green colored Six-spotted tiger beetle. The artist watermark reads: copyright 2026 Jennifer Miller "Nambroth" featherdust dot com

Normal Beetles: coming to stationary near you (not really, but wouldn't that be fun?)
simple cartoon designs representing real beetles.
upper left: "Xen" is a Xenomorphon. A wingless beetle who cries easily. He always wants to watch the same three movies.
upper right: "Atra" is an Atractocerus. A very long and flexible beetle who can fit in narrow areas. He gets nervous in big crowds.
lower left: "Clav" is a Claviger. A beetle who is always showing up in places without having been invited. He's a nice guy, though, so everyone is usually okay with it.
lower right: "Para" is a Paratuposa. A very small and light beetle who is blown around by strong wind. She brushes her wings for two hours every day.simple cartoon designs representing real beetles.
upper left: "Cal" is a Calodromus. A beetle with long legs who actually hates running. When he gets angry, he kicks things.
upper right: "Platy" is a Platyrhopalopsis. A shy beetle who loves peace and quiet. She always gets nervous when it's her turn to order at restaurants.
lower left: "Kero" is a Cerocranus. A fussy beetle who cares a lot about his looks. He is often late to things, because he gets distracted by mirrors and windows.
lower right: "Ness" is a Cnestus. A small beetle who knows a lot about mushrooms. If she starts talking about something she likes, she will never stop.simple cartoon designs representing real beetles.
upper left: "Mike" is a Micromalthus. A pleasant beetle who always tries to look at the bright side of things. People ask her when she will get married, but she says she is happy by herself.
upper right: "Koto" is a Coatonachthodes. A small beetle with a big tail that looks like a termite. Her tail isn't alive, but sometimes she talks to it when she thinks no one is listening.
lower left: "Mel" is a Meloetyphlus. A loud beetle who loves the sound of her own voice. Even though she has a huge head, she forgets things easily.
lower right: "Trak" is a Trachelismus. A beetle who can always see over the crowd at concerts. He has been getting into origami lately. The twelve cartoon beetle designs standing together as if posing for a picture
