we do have to actually abolish rape (among many other harms) in order to abolish prisons. one of the biggest issues with prisons is the systemization of rape and proliferation of rape culture in the first place!

The problem I have with restorative justice is that most people seem to think it means restoring the perpetrator to good standing. It does not, it means making the victim whole again. This is not something they can be achieved when it comes to rape when all to often rapists never face consequences
