Back in 2011, I drew a Squig team for Garion’s ‘Secret League’ on Fumbbl, so it’s nice to see them become an official part of modern Blood Bowlafter all this time. They look a fun team to play and it was certainly a lot of fun to draw them again. It brought back memories of the Stunty Leeg!

Really enjoyed reading this, really clear and compelling analysis. the key bit for me is how the Rogue Trader original 40k background is so completely bound up with a specific time and place. I know the Blackadder reference is used lightly, but I think it’s actually a very formative influence!

The late, great, John Blanche even went so far as to explain why Phil's All-Stars had star players from other teams in their line up! Honestly, it's that sort of attention to detail that made the 2nd edition's background so great!

Recently got the chance to paint the big man himself, Morg 'n Thorg. This is classic blood bowl to me.

A classic Games Workshop Morg 'n Thorg miniature. An ogre who plays blood bowl, this classic pose has a chainmail glove with a big ol' spike on it, raised high.

The miniature is painted with a blue and white checkered shoulder pad and blue and white striped pants.

Back home now, so time to post pics of my haul from Wednesday's North East hobby shop tour! Felt like I needed a bit of a blow-out, so I saved up for two months so I could treat myself. No minis in the 2nd ed Blood Bowl box, but I was mostly after the polystyrene pitch anyway!
