I see we're having a debate about whether it's okay to go back to "X," the site owned by a trillionaire fascist who is currently bankrolling the GOP's midterm, throttled Ukraine's war effort, and still winkingly allows vast amounts of CSAM on his service Answer: No, what the fuck is wrong with you

I'm generally of the view that we'll find a use for all the compute *but* an important difference is that those GPUs themselves are not long-lived assets.

Elon Musk keeps threatening Canada's sovereignty, and Canada's leaders....keep posting on his social media platform? Non-MAGA politicians, journalists, business leaders: give your head a shake and stand up for your country. #cdnpoli www.nationalobserver.com/2026/10/14/o...

Quitting X is the easy bit, but Canada's leaders can't even do that
For many of the country's most high-profile individuals, Elon Musk's social platform is a test. They're currently failing it.

Put another way, Ford wants to spend more on removing bike lanes in Toronto ($48M) than he's spent protecting all of Ontario's businesses from an international trade war. Ontario deserves serious leadership, that follows through on promises, and actually puts people before profits.

Privatization wasn’t on the ballot when Canadians voted for Mark Carney. Really foul the way he’s using the blind trust so many continue to have in him to make massive, fundamental changes to Canada (hurting normal Canadians) so big companies can profit. Please pay attention.

An Onion article titled “Talking to your child about the WTC attack,” which is filled with real good info.

I appreciate that Dolly Parton refused to participate in "dress respectability" and, by her own account, modeled her aesthetic after a town "tramp," who she thought was beautiful. She separated aesthetics from character and understood "classiness" to be about how you treat people, not how you dress.

As for screwing with cycling while fixing missing "^_" prefixes on zoning codes (not making that up) in the same fat-omnibus, that's a political issue. Mayoral level problem. Email the candidates, see who agrees with you. Vote in the fall.

The staffer is innocent on the problem of cramming policy changes and spelling errors into a single omnibus, so be nice. Mitchell.LeSage@ottawa.ca Send an email with your thoughts re: citywide cycling parking needs. Shape the draft before it reaches committee

There's more: "An amendment is needed for non-residential developments over 125,000 m2 with regard to end of trip facilities for cyclists. The current provisions could result in unnecessarily overproviding end of trip facilities." I am suspicious of the motivations here & who's initiating this
