Of course Trump would love a chatbot designed to flatter the user ... but "Trump spent hours asking Grok" is an extremely curious statement, especially with Musk in the room. Who typed the questions in? Who read them back to the president, and how much of this was Trump actually awake for?

Throwing billions in public money behind a pipeline at a time of climate breakdown – while sweeping aside environmental protections, meaningful Indigenous consultation and workers’ right to strike – is absolutely not in the national interest.

25 years ago, I first saw Merritt Wever in another film that satirizes the media, reality TV, and is dark, hilarious and contains a great performance by Brooke Smith. More people need to see SERIES 7: THE CONTENDERS, especially to see where Wever began. Put this one on a new Blu release ASAP.

Given the AI music dipshit post, I do think it's worth pointing out that Bruce Springsteen's NEBRASKA turns 44 today -- arguably his best album, a deeply personal work he made alone with a four-track recorder. Humans make art. Computers make noise.

Every time a discourse kicks off over whether AI music, literature or art will be "as good as" the real thing, I'm always amazed more people don't cite that **there already are** creative pursuits where human-free spectacles have been available for decades, and nobody has ever wanted to watch them.

If you want to really know how the outrage machine gets fired up: 1. Schmitt plans to drop “bombshell” on Smith 2. Someone plants story that Schmitt is a Vance VP contender to run same day 3. Right-wing Twittersphere gets talking points 4. Schmitt steps in it 5. Scheduled tweets go out anyway

One, this hilariously outs who all got the talking points in advance and how blatantly they parrot those. Two, Schmitt really thought today he'd launch himself to the VP nomination and with that a decent shot at the presidency down the line. Instead this is the only thing he'll be remembered for.

He doesn't understand why the term "artificial intelligence" was coined in the first place, because he thinks "artificial" only has the one meaning and it's derogatory. In the whole of human history, I don't believe a dumber person has ever held this much power. Way to go, voters.
