When asked by the Globe to respond to Gov McKee saying we have to cut back on clean energy because Donald Trump is attacking it and removing federal programs to support it, this was my response: When Trump punches us in the face, you don’t respond by shooting your self in the foot - you fight back.

Elected leaders weren't doing enough, so I'm trying to get new elected leaders statewide in RI who'll finally bring the safe streets and transit infrastructure we deserve.

I stopped biking around Boston and now Providence after I had a kid and the streets weren't safe enough. My kiddo now wants to ride to school. I've spent years working to get Providence to build the bike infrastructure they promise. No one should die just trying to commute by bike.

I don't bike around Providence because the bike infrastructure isn't there. I hate my absence from a bike in city streets is taken as a sign bike infrastructure isn't wanted. Rather than being seen for what it is: a giant flashing neon sign that the streets aren't safe enough.

✅There is also $15 million for bus shelters and improvements over 5 years. Bus shelters across the state are in disrepair, not to mention 90% of stops, about 3,000 in all have no shelter at all!
Under a cloudy sky, a cool kid wearing a raincoat with the hood up, and pale blue rain boots. The kid, want to emphasize how cool this kid is, stands atop a sidewalk damp from rainfall next to an bus shelter, unremarkable in every way, weathered and and missing a bench. An assortment of three chairs, a plasic yard chair, a wooden table chair, and a more modern fabric yard chair are arranged under the faded canopy. A trash can next to the shelter completes the amenities. Hopefully the bus picks up this cool kid soon.
