'Finding out which is the fun part.' I have had many meals that involved trying to discern whether someone I knew had ceased to share a basic reality with me, had embraced evil, or both. It's not that fun.

The Heritage Foundation laid out how they were going to rescind Title IX, the law that prohibits sex discrimination in education, by first targeting trans people's participation in sport. Capitulating on the human rights of transgender people is catastrophically falling at the first hurdle.

One of the really cool things about this case is that one of the lead plaintiffs is Lioness - a nonprofit run by women who did time in sweltering Texas prisons themselves. Then they got out and spearheaded this lawsuit that could drastically improve life for all their sisters still inside.

PSA: No Kings is a coalition, not an org, and it does not do fundraising appeals for itself. Partner orgs raise money for costs we're incurring to put it on. But if you get a text from "NO KINGS" or a PAC you've never heard of before asking for $ that is a scam and you should block/shame away.

Yesterday, while at Astoria Food Pantry to check for free COVID tests, I noticed on the wall this handmade sign listing alternatives to Amazon and businesses/outlets that it (Bezos) controls. It’s good that people know there are other, less problematic options. #MutualAid #CommunityCare #Queens #NYC
Posted high on a white interior wall is a handmade sign showing two columns. Column on the left is “Amazon Owns or Controls” and lists AbeBooks, Audible, Goodreads, IMDb, Ring, Twitch, Washington Post, Whole Foods, Zappos. Column on the right says “Instead Try” and lists Alibris.com, Libro.fm, TheStoryGroup, Wikipedia, Local Newspapers, PBS, NPR, Food Co-ops, Independent Stores, Bookshop.com. Aug 8, 2026.

Working with anarchist artist NO BONZO, we've made a support poster to inform people about the Minneapolis 15 case. 15 people are federally charged with conspiracy for allegedly defending their neighborhoods from ICE. Please print these out and post them everywhere! crimethinc.com/posters/supp...
A poster reading:

Support the Minnesota fifteen!

The US Attorney’s Office in Minneapolis has charged fifteen people with “conspiracy to impede federal officers,” accusing them of defending their neighborhoods from ICE.

Across Minnesota and all around the country, hundreds of thousands of people have come together to form rapid response networks and protect their neighbors from mercenaries who are separating parents from their children and brutalizing people regardless of their immigration status. As ICE agents murder people in the streets, federal authorities want to pretend that those who stand up to ICE represent the real threat to the public.

This prosecution is a part of NSPM-7, the Trump administration’s initiative to turn the War on Terror against “antifa”—which is to say, against anyone who opposes fascism. The goal of these charges is to intimidate people out of standing up for each other. Make no mistake, this prosecution is directed at all who do not welcome authoritarianism. If it succeeds, they will repeat this strategy again, targeting more and more people.

In the face of fascist violence, the only route to safety is collective organizing. Solidarity is self-preservation. The harder it is for them to capture today’s targets, the longer it will take them to target the rest of us.

Support the Minnesota fifteen!

My little PTSD-riddled psychic-satellite-network-on-two-legs. Look how beautiful this is!
Page from Immortal X-Men #5 showing Exodus, via highly compelling art of his costume shifting into his old 12-century armor (but with an X instead of a cross), narrating his psychic conception of his role in an upcoming telepathic fight. Emma and Hope (who is angrily cussing about the bad guys, prompting him to call her his 'sweary messiah') are, via initial wide shot, flanking him, which he envisions as a diamond shield in one hand and a flaming sword in the other.
