this is horribly true- poverty is exhausting. It takes everything you have. Being hard up for a bit is not the same as being relentlessly poor. I'm not surprised people can't always find the wherewithall to fight back, push on, rise above - all the stuff they can't understand why we don't just do

Todays, noticably smaller, mushroom haul. It has been a very good few wks for field mushrooms. I love them but we've eaten so many recently that even I am thinking...maybe cook/freeze more of them? Then I smell them cooking and it's mushrooms for tea. This lot became a delicious creamy prawny pasta

we spotted this delicate little creature on shed door and thought it was a moth. Then thought it wasn't exactly mothy- 6 legs, propellor blades instead of wings and no descernible antennae- is that a moth? Apparently it is- a common plume moth. I've never seen one

I've got an idea - In UK there's not much rain in S&E + a lot in N&W. I've spotted this before- there's a def pattern. I know this sounds radical but what if WE KEEP RAIN FALLING IN N/W AND SEND IT TO S/E How hard can it be- Greeks Romans Incas Assyrians did it- I think they used pipes and stuff?

One more reminder. Yes, Reform are a deeply unserious party, and have no intention or ability to bring their plans into action, but there’s a very serious side to this. It’s about embedding the narrative that disabled people are dishonest, undeserving scroungers. That does need to be opposed.

BBC’s coverage of Reform’s welfare plans is frankly bizarre. Headlines in Ten, leading on some radio networks. Reform are not even the official opposition and the plans have less credibility than Count Binface. Will BBC News do the same for Lib Dem and Greens policy two years out from an election?
