This is the part many Americans -- including the Bezosites at the Washington Post -- don't understand. Canadians don't see this just as a Trump thing. It's that America elected him twice, and the second time with an even bigger mandate. The problem we're addressing is America, not Trump.

The argument that Donald Trump invaded Canada today is much more compelling than many realize. The border between Canada and the United States runs through the middle of Lake Ontario. By claiming to have the power to rename the entire lake, Trump is claiming the lake. That's invasion by declaration.

So you can say all you like, no, this wasn't an invasion, but the practicalities of what just happened today will hit like a ton of bricks in a matter of hours or days—not weeks. Trump declaring sovereign authority over a body of water half owned by Canada is a big fucking deal.

Watters is intentionally being provocative to troll but he's also delivering the underlying message: This supposed "fight" to "protect" women's sports is a red herring to undermine women's sports in general. Remember, these are people who think women do not belong in the workforce.
