Everyone gets fooled sometimes, but if you credulously post an image or video that people reply to tell you is fake/AI-generated and you leave it up anyway (because “it’s still funny” or whatever) you’re making the misinformation problem worse and will be blocked immediately.

By far the best thing about the Great American State Fair is that DC statehood activists have infiltrated it (with official permission!) and are lobbying attendees to support their cause. I saw several MAGA tourists receiving the polite but vigorous spiel for DC statehood and it warmed my heart.

In the last few weeks my car has been declared a total loss and my cat has died. The pet insurance automatically canceled my cat's policy, said they will refund any remaining amount, and sent me condolences. The car insurance sent me documents for the renewal at the end of July.

Cancer cat's cancer came out of remission. After an ER visit, restarting chemo, and not eating for three days - today he let us know it was time for him to go. He was the best cat I've ever met, even given my other best cats. He saved me during so many dark times. I will miss him impossibly much.

My 9-year-old, asking a question I can't exactly remember about if there is blood everywhere in the body. Me, a very normal parent: pretty much, there has to be because blood brings oxygen to our body, and without oxygen cells die. That's why heart attacks hurt, it's the cells dying without oxygen.
