The tragedy of Biden's presidency is not its lack of success, but how little its success was recognized. The claim Democrats don't have a policy program is false. Finishing the projects Biden began, working with Bernie Sanders and others, should be central to the project of the next president.

Heat killed a 24 yr old farm worker in Mississippi in Sept. Republican-backed AB6213 would block all national heat regs. We must stop this bill. Email your US Rep today. We must stop these heat deaths. Two minutes of your time can save lives. 1/2

On the left: Solicitor General: Key 2008 SCOTUS opinion said its holding was because the party's likelihood of irreparable harm was “unclear.” On the right: 2008 SCOTUS opinion: Even if the likelihood of irreparable harm were clear, the holding would be the same.
And even if it were a “close case[ ]” on those factors—e.g., if
the merits were a toss-up, or if it was debatable whether the harms could be mitigated—then “balanc[ing] the equities” would be appropriate in making the ultimate
judgment whether a stay were warranted. See Brown, 2026 WL 2618462, at *1; cf.
Winter, 555 U.S. at 22-23 (denying preliminary injunction based on balancing of equities in case where it was “unclear” whether the plaintiffs were likely to suffer irreparable harm and where the court of appeals at times had suggested a mere “‘possibility’” of irreparable harm). As explained in the next section, even if plaintiffs have
shown irreparable injury from the Navy’s training exercises,
any such injury is outweighed by the public interest and the
Navy’s interest in effective, realistic training of its sailors.
A proper consideration of these factors alone requires denial
of the requested injunctive relief.

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.

IMPORTANT to know that the vast majority of Haitians with TPS entered the country legally at ports of entry, not illegally. The majority have NEVER violated the law. The admin stripped their status by breaking the law, but today SCOTUS says courts can't do anything about that.
Chart shows Haitian migrant encounters by entry method, January 2021 to January 2025, showing that after mid-2022, nearly every entry was legal.
