The Nessus Job - for Shadow Dragon Week, day 2: Freedom. [ #jasperdraws #shadowdragonweek2026 #veilguard ]

Comic-like illustration of the interior of some elven ruins from Dragon Age. In the foreground hidden in shadow is Dawes 'Rook' Mercar, Varric Tethras, and a crowd of elven slaves, armed. Crates, shelving, and ruined walls hide them from a few Venatori in the background who are clearly searching for them.

Fanart of Wynne from Dragon Age. She is dressing in Xianxia (Chinese High Fantasy) costume heavily reference on chantry's pattern, wielding a copper made sword, burning with blue flame.

The verse in the post are from 李白's 短歌行, rough translation:

As far as I can tell the entire gameplay capture team for bungie stuff got laid off (including related Sony peeps). If you want to hire one of the best game capture teams in the biz, we are all now roaming around (and I still am) Posting this cause that team isn’t really a social media crew

The folks at Bungie were one of the best to ever do it all around but the RaD team made some of the most unique and compelling content in FPS gaming that I've ever seen. The fact that most of them got laid off is absolutely ridiculous. I don't think Sony realizes what they've just lost here.

After almost ten years at Bungie I was laid off today. I started on Destiny 2 in 2016 and was one of the first handful of people to join the Marathon incubation team at the end of 2019. The loss today, like so many of these days, is immeasurable. We built some really incredible things together.

Concept art for the Triage runner from Marathon. Close, cropped shot of the character's face, black and neon green, with glowing eyes. The background is a red, blurred bokeh. The image has a distinctive, digital film grain effect that gives it a retro, dreamlike feeling.

It's remarkable then, that even in their last gasp, the devs at Bungie proved that actually, it could. It won't be perfect, and it won't dominate for all time, but if you build a beautiful thing that brings people together, they will return to it and defend it even in the face of inevitable ruin
