When I say I’m excited to see The Odyssey because I love the story I mean specifically this book which I read and re-read when I was a kid.

Meeting one of my Mum’s friend for lunch next month, along with Dad. She’s lovely but does like to talk about the emotions of Mum’s loss a lot, including sometimes talking about the actual event. I think it’s her way of dealing with things (she’s also a widow) but it’s very much not mine.

Minutes before not quite disaster but a bit overcooked…I’m quite happy these turned out to be delicate little dumplings and not the Chinese Cornish pasties I usually end up making. Still a way to go! But they were so tiny and cute!

Some dumplings folded into half moon shapes, sat in a frying pan about to be cooked.
