Yeah, the idea that a prosecutor would lie about being in a whole state is implausible; the idea that he’d do so after going to an NBA game really stretches the bounds of common sense. The idea that he’d lie about what state he was in while being protected by Federal Marshals is fantastical.

It's interestingly one of the reasons that so much apologetics is issued for racism (and all types of abuse). Racism isn't a character flaw. Racism is a series of ideologies, actions, and social structures that perpetrate inequalities and harms associated with perceived race. We all do "racism".
