If you ever need to understand how bad Kansas State football was before Bill Snyder, consider that: —Kansas State has beaten Kansas 16 times in a row, and won 11 in a row from 1993-2003 —Kansas still leads the overall series 65-52

This, by the way, is in response to one of my readers taking issue with Nick Kurtz's nickname "Big Amish." He makes a compelling case:
Diamondbacks 6, Athletics 4: Blaze Alexander homered, Alek Thomas and Geraldo Perdomo each had three hits, and Eduardo Rodríguez pitched five innings of two-run ball as Arizona wins the rubber match. Nick Kurtz hit a two-run single. That's not that important here, but remember after Kurtz's big game a week or two ago it was revealed that his nickname is "Big Amish" because he's from Lancaster, Pennsylvania? Well, right after that subscriber Frank Greenagel emailed me this:

So, a buddy of mine, Josh Wood now of Wichita, has Kurtz in a 27 year and running dynasty fantasy baseball league. All season, he's been calling Kurtz "the Horror" after Apocalypse Now. Over the weekend, he just put "The Horror, The Horror" in the chat. Please try to make this nickname stick.
I like that way more than Big Amish. Gonna totally do that whenever his name comes up, and I urge all of you to consider doing so as well.

Unless you work for the NBA or a tv network, why should we care what the "bad ratings" are for any matchup? Is the NBA on the verge of going out of business or not being televised? Nope. Bring on the best teams.
