Whoa what is @nyc-dot.bsky.social doing on Jay Street at Myrtle? It was milled for repaving but it looks like they're installing some sort of actual concrete road division. Can't tell exactly, but this may be concrete for a real protected bike lane!? @nyc.streetsblog.org you hear anything on this?

More premium competition in the US market, and Alaska's new premium kick will bring suites to its upcoming 737-10. 12 Aurora Suites up front (reverse herringbone, facing the window!), 12 Premium Reserve seats, and economy seats with IFE screens. But yea, agree with @wandrme.paxex.aero's take here

Is this the worst departure line I’ve ever seen at JFK? I’m counting about *50* aircraft waiting to depart. Partially due to the very strong wind tonight, but also this LATAM 767 that apparently found itself on a closed taxiway and had to be removed somehow.

I have used the Mamdani toilet! Are we calling it that? It’s great! Scanned a QR code which triggered an SMS that opened the door. It was immaculate inside, maybe because there were three employees monitoring it at that moment. This is a super busy area and bus layover, so it was badly needed 👍👍👍

InnoTrans is a major (THE major?) rail/tram/bus/trolley show, I guess the equivalent to AIX for aircraft. You can’t bring aircraft to AIX, but they brought a lot of trains to InnoTrans. I gotta go one of these years! It looks amazing.

Then came the curveballs. State fire code required us to add an area of refuge—an additional safe space for riders with mobility needs to wait for help during a fire. It's an important addition to the project, but it required design revisions. That took time, too.

And we won’t sugarcoat this...our contractor's performance was a factor too, especially when it came to waterproofing the elevator shafts. Water damaged equipment. We had to replace that equipment. And then we had to re-waterproof. More time gone.

Given how severely United's network was disrupted yesterday after eight hours of EWR being offline, its recovery today is quite impressive. Flighty shows 11% of its schedule at EWR is canceled today, and it's still repositioning diverted aicraft.

FAA had a radar outage at JFK yesterday morning. Today it moves down the Northeast to PHL Center and impacts EWR. Oh and PHL Center has a staffing shortage for EWR. And there’s VIP ground stops at JFK. And the weather ain’t great.

I know Britts love to hate on their national rail network and operators, but I’ve been waiting for the Purple Train for just a few minutes and been jump scared by so many high speed trains. The entire US has like 8 feet of track this fast with services to match. Enjoy this Quality Train Content™

@mta.info rolled out Wi-Fi to its buses (and some commuter rail stations) in 2017 and found usage to be so low because everyone already has mobile data that it was all discontinued. I can’t imagine this is any more necessary in 2026.
