He'd turned on a green, saw a red, and probably figured that it had just turned red and decided to just gun it on through--despite the obvious presence of the pedestrians. In any case, he was playing chicken with a couple of kids in a marked crosswalk using a 2.5 ton truck.

He ended his turn onto metropolitan going 6 mph. He crossed the stop line before the intersection at about 15 mph. He traversed the intersection at an average of 20 mph. He did not brake until after he struck the kids. He was *accelerating* hard. You can hear the tires chirp and RPMs rise.

The driver of the truck's behavior is way worse than merely negligent. Fedex truck blocks the camera's view, NOT the driver's. Driver turns right on green from SB 70th to WB Metropolitan, where he has a red light. He can see pedestrians in the crosswalk the whole time, even from before the turn.

And, it's really worth noting that the trans sports issue is really about shitting on female athletes. About the only boys that could make the girls' varsity team at their middle or high school *as boys* are already on the boys' JV or varsity teams. This was not the case 40 years ago.

And how much compute was that? What you're describing isn't novel. It's just throwing hardware at a problem with extra steps. When Moore's law worked reliably, hardware reliably caught up to increasingly inefficient software. Hardware's hitting its limits, so now we got a datacenter explosion

I love manuals to the point I converted a few cars to manual. I know what gear I need to be in and when better than any TCM. Also I love being directly connected to the wheels. But no more manuals. I went electric a decade ago. No need to be in any gear at all because you don't need gears.
