My first interview during my last year of uni at a school that taught primarily C#, they blindsided me with a timed Java code assessment. No prep from the internal recruiter. I have hated Java ever since.

Many think this was to draw the child back and build obligations for the child, but the reality is that the scream of the Furby was it realizing that it was only a machine in the trappings of a pet. The fact the screaming stopped when the play started again was just the machine being distracted.

I think it is that way everywhere in that country. I was in Istanbul last year when a Fenerbahce-Galatasaray match was happening. Those folks were wild! Such an energy around the stadium.

As someone who had to bang on a console so that the fader would work and has volunteered in church production, things like this are invaluable. Digital technology has allowed skilled practitioners to give lay people ways to volunteer and contribute without feeling overwhelmed.

I think it is possible but can be hit or miss. Concept records are a thing, but I feel there needs to be a story told over the listening experience. Something a bit more tangible than vibes. Musicals also are examples of it being done. Jesus Christ Superstar is kind of all over the place musically.
