I laughed at being reminded of Randy's existence. In a good way, mind you.

I thought that whole mission was incredibly powerful. And Ross Kemp was brilliant in it. I was not expecting that.

Paddling (canoeing) across Windermere today, into the teeth of a pretty stiff Force 3 wind - lumpy, and just this side of whitecaps - I came across a swimming squirrel, looking very stressed. Not a planned swim, I'm guessing. It was 300m to either shore, so I'm not sure s/he was going to be okay.

I've noticed that whenever he's done BTS interviews for DVDs, he's always sat on a tall stool and shot from a low angle. I wonder why?

We had a lovely trip to the Natural History Museum today, but all I could hear in my head was the theme to Nationwide.

This reminds me of when I was at the BBC running the Messageboard system, and the 606 football board had loads of wankers being awful, and apparently arranging drug deals. Investigations revealed they worked at a call centre, and the BBC was one of the few sites their firewall allowed.

I will be very interested to see if this, coupled with the rather poor new app and website, has an impact on their ticket sales.

I had exactly the same thought. Still, nice to see that you can make an entire game show based on a single round of Richard Osman's House of Games.

I've just installed Cineworld's new app (see previous complaint) and it's much, much worse than I expected. I predict ticket sales will crater. I couldn't even log in on the laptop. It's a trainwreck.

I saw this film as a young teenager. It was the first time I cried watching a film. As my family will attest, it was not remotely the last time.

Add that to their 'must leave at least two seats between bookings' and date nights are out of the window.

Cineworld just sent an email telling me their app and Unlimited card are changing. And every change is worse. You can't book more than one unlimited member in the same booking any more. Why? This is just making things worse, not "designed to provide a smoother booking experience".

Among other things, I watched as Peter Capaldi played the bagpipes to charm a policeman (played by Paul Brooke) who had been possessed by the worm spirit.

Try Lair of the White Worm. I saw some of that being filmed when they used the big house where I worked as a key location.

I've been annoyed that most of the TV broadcasts have almost been clip shows. Very few full concerts. And a strong focus on concerts featuring pop music or jazz. And there feels like a lot fewer of them on TV.
