Watching this Apple event tout how iPhones will soon be able to record ambient audio/conversations and transcribe "high level notes" for you. It's billed as private and end-to-end encrypted, but I think the bigger harm is the normalization of always-listening devices. It's creepy and not normal.

I used to be in a similar boat. I found a "top 50 films of all time" list back when Netflix was still all DVDs in the mail. I queued up as many as I could. That started to help me form a better idea of what genres I preferred.

To be clear for non-tech followers: an LLM can only output content, such as text or images. That has no impact on the world until we make it so. Text output can be commands or tools called. But we have to explicitly wire those tools to the tool caller. If you do that without controls, that's on you.
