‼️ Here are our key results: By 7 years after enrollment, relative to before enrollment, HMP enrollees had average reductions of nearly $1000 in medical debt in collections (75% relative reduction) and rates of subprime credit score went down by 25 percentage points (30-50% relative reduction) ‼️ 5/n

Today in @annalsofim.bsky.social we looked at the new PREVENT HF risk score. We found that 15 million Americans have HF risk >10%, >4 million of whom have ASCVD risk <10%. www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/...

AHA's lipid guidelines do not recommend Lp(a) testing. An AHA Scientific Statement says not yet, but we should rethink it after technical lab issues are worked out. But AHA also releases glossy brochures clearly encouraging use. 🤷

Remember, even if the ACA survives, the decision to classify contraception as a preventive service (and thus not subject to copays, deductibles, etc) is ultimately a regulatory determination by HHS that could be reversed in the next administration.
