What Reform did today was an incitement to rioting and an insult to a grieving family. This bloke should have hung his goddamn head in shame.

The pardon for Hernandez makes an obvious & absolute mockery of each & every attempt to rationalise, or even justify, Trump's treatment of Maduro. I'm not sure this single, simple point can be stressed enough. Once again, he proves his critics right & reduces his supporters to epic moral corruption.

The Conservative Party is simultaneously arguing people shouldn’t be jailed for social media posts directly calling for violence, but also that people’s citizenship should be revoked over social media posts they don’t like. Make it make sense.

Chatted to my great uncle yesterday – a northern, working-class guy, not that political. I told him my job involved exposing Farage. His first question was: “who funds him?” Investigations into Farage’s donors can have a major impact on Reform’s support – as this research has already shown 👇

I’ve been saying this for ten years now but possibly not often enough: Ask Them What They Think The Words They’re Using Mean. And then ask them to name the ‘problematic’ people. We had ‘sovereignty’, ‘laws’ & ‘unelected bureaucrats’. The US now has ‘Antifa’, the ‘radical left’ & ‘insurrection’. Ask!

Farage dodged parliament, went to the US, slagged off the UK, lied to Congress, grifted for donations and hoped to persuade the US to punish us for the Online Safety Act. And got his arse handed back to him. You’d think our ‘patriotic’ media would go nuts. But no. Some quiet mumbling. Beyond feeble.

Our media is increasingly mad, menacing and far right. Labour appears to fear it, rather than having the courage to expose it. And it’s there to be exposed in all its bitter, inadequate, prejudiced uselessness. There is a far better story to tell. Like you, so many of us long for someone to tell it.
With every week that passes I find myself yearning for a senior politician who is actually brave enough to say this. I long for someone willing to push back against this nonsense and stand up for the country we all actually live in, rather than the one contained solely within the imaginations of the UK's growing band of far-right commentators, social media platforms and broadcasters.

I yearn for someone willing to say that, far from being "legitimate", the far right thugs seeking to burn down hotels full of refugees are in fact entirely illegitimate and should be squashed by the full force of the state.

It’s extraordinary that so much media still reports on Trump with the old, redundant tools of the trade. He lied about Ukraine, then he tried to extort Ukraine, and having failed he threatens to walk away from Ukraine. The idea that he was ever going to do anything unwelcome to Putin is ridiculous.
