This is why imperial collapses can often seem extraordinarily sudden: They come as the culmination of decades of undermining the institutions, relationships, and structures that keep states functioning. A jenga tower can stand with missing blocks until it's given a tiny push.

Trump and his allies have spent most of the past decade doing the administrative equivalent of ripping bundles of wiring out of the walls. When everything's trundling along, you don't necessarily notice the missing wiring. When something goes very wrong, suddenly the damage becomes apparent.

Canadian government aims to make the Defence Investment Agency a Crown corporation
canada.ca
Government of Canada introduces legislation to accelerate defence procurement, strengthen Canadian industry, and reinforce Canadian sovereignty - Canada.ca
The world is more dangerous and divided. The international rules-based order is fading, and global conflict rages on. Canada’s Government is focused on what we can control: rebuilding, rearming, and reinvesting in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). In October 2025, Canada’s new government established the Defence Investment Agency (DIA) to overhaul and streamline our defence procurement. Since then, the DIA has facilitated key purchases that strengthen Canada’s strategic autonomy. In a rapidly changing world, Canada must move quicker to keep Canadians safe.

Hello Bone Colleagues,
I have invented a new type of ankle and I'm very excited to show it to you. Early raccoon trials suggest a 60% increase in scurrying speed and dramatic increases in fine motor banditry. I know we are not supposed to create super raccoons, but I think you'll change your mind and professional ethics when you see how cute they are. I believe we are on the cusp of a new era in advanced human scurrying because if medical science has taught me anything, it's that improvements in raccoons correspond 1:1 to improvements in humans.
