I am somehow just finding out that Du Barry Was A Lady is out on Blu-Ray. This was a staple growing up. Hardly perfect, but I long to see this in HD. Whether it actually holds up or not, the cast is killer: Lucille Ball, Red Skelton, Zero Mostel, and Gene Kelly, and that's just for starters.

Twenty years ago a short film of mine was a semi-finalist in @fxnetworks.com's pilot contest. We lost, but thanks to @vpmattsaxe.bsky.social, we still pitched to FX. Next year we were one of only 5 finalists in a @comedycentral.bsky.social competition, the only submission to place in both contests.
