There's someone spamming furry authors, possibly from a Coyotl awards list, with AI-generated scams, and they were dumbass enough to PASTE THE TEXT OF THEIR Ai TELLING THEM THEY'VE BEEN MADE into one of the emails.

REDACTED isn't just annoyed she directly named what she thinks this is: a scheme to extract free ebook files and a fee from indie authors under the promise of exposure, using mail-merge messages dressed up as presonal reads of their books. And looking at what actuall happened in that thread, some of what she's pointing at is hard to argue with:
the Pual mix up wasn't a one off slip, it's the direct result of running templated outreach across many authors at once and losing track of what name goes where
"angle's journey" inseat of RJ is another sign the message wasn't actually built around her book
the 100 fee only surfaced after she showed interest which is a pattern real predatory book marketing schemes use deliberately, ge te person involved before the price tag appears
the request for a free ebook/epub file on top of a fee is asking her to pay and hand over her books full content
and then more text where the LLM has to say "your mark noticed you're doing a scam" while pretending not to be doing a scam
