Ace Combat 8 finished. Only wish it had a SOLG style mission. Otherwise, one of the best games I have ever played, one of the best video games ever made. A perfect Ace Combat game. Emotionally charged beyond all compare. Essential playing.

Thank Jebus, I think I finally fixed my UE 5.8.3 crash. I tried a a bunch of scalpels but what finally worked was the hammer - downgrading the lvl 3 GI settings in Scalability to match lvl 2. It seems to work reliably, and IMO it actually looks a little better(!)

Hey, this is one of the best video games you will ever play. This has a story that exceeds the best that Bioware or any other similar studio has to offer you. It has moments that beat The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. This is one of the single greatest narratives in video games.

if an Arby's Reuben sandwich stuck with you the way this game stuck with me, you'd need to see a doctor about it and it would be a disaster this game won't leave you with a GI emergency so I'd argue it's a better use of ten bucks

My favourite Robert Redford story is the one about why he got rejected for the lead role in The Graduate. RIP to a real one.

An excerpt from an interview with the director of The Graduate, Mike Nichols.

"I interviewed hundreds, maybe thousands of men", Nichols admitted of the casting process per Vanity Fair, before his conversation with Redford turned out to be a short one.
