I'm not sure that the example in 2/4 meets the call in 3/4. There is, yes, a massive difference in degree between thinking children deserve to die and thinking they deserve no pleasure because their parents are poor. But isn't it a difference of degree?

Because it's buried at the bottom of the article and CNN is presenting it in a misleading way: before people worry, the "unknown" part is how the worker was exposed, the pathogen is good old fashioned Y. pestis which we understand extremely well and can treat just fine if caught early

He voted for Trump for the first time in 2024. 😐 I always wonder who tf raises these Trump voters. Welp. Guess I have my answer. Logic is an alien experience to some folks, huh?
