With very few exceptions (large groups, very remote areas) I have always been baffled that people would prefer this to hotels. I'm going to stay at the place that's open 24 hours and where I'm not given a list of chores, thanks. (Marriott and Hilton both have affordable chains with full kitchens)

I never did a birthright tour bc I didn’t want to contribute to the perception that Israel “my” nation. If I had I would have wanted to participate in something like protecting the olive harvest. Now, Israel encourages divestment by progressive diaspora Jews & also encourages antisemitism toward us.
