Browsing the Realtor app, as one does, & again I am wondering who designs a house where, after walking into a nice big foyer, you immediately have to walk up 10 steps to get to the living area, before going thru to the house to the kitchen? Whoever designed this has never hauled groceries.

Yday, CBC Radio was talking about infertility in Canada. Thinking about grandparents now, my Amma was pregnant every 2 years for 20 years. She had a baby & 2 toddlers on her hands when her oldest daughter had her 1st baby. I could not imagine. And people wonder why women today choose differently 👀

Have to ask because I'm legitimately curious. 58-year-old Gillingham has a 94 year-old "grand"-father? Or is that a typo @stateofthecity.bsky.social?
• 9:55 a.m. The space is bustling with campaign staff and volunteers putting together signs and hunched over laptops. Among them is Gillingham's 94-year-old grandfather, Gordon Alder, who is smoothing stickers that say
"re-elect" onto campaign signs in the back office.

The *latest* Trans Mountain pipeline expansion was completed in 2024. Now this is a new one? Is TMPL at capacity? My entire life, all I've heard is Alberta crying about needing a pipeline. They get one, but then the crying immediately continues. I'm so tired of it. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
In 2013, a project to loop the existing Trans Mountain pipeline - the Trans Mountain expansion project - was proposed to the Canadian national energy board. The project was 98% complete as of January 23, 2024. The expanded pipeline begin operations on May 1, 2024. The expansion runs roughly parallel to the existing pipeline, increasing capacity from 300,000 to 890,000 barrels per day, at a cost of $53 Billion Cdn

There's a reason the very first page of Outlander resonated with so many women. It's been a morning. Fantasizing about running away.
People disappear all the time. Ask any policeman. Better yet, ask a journalist. Disappearances are bread-and-butter to journalists.
Young girls run away from home. Young children stray from their parents and are never seen again. Housewives reach the end of their tether and take the grocery money and a taxi to the station.
International financiers change their names and vanish into the smoke of imported cigars.
Many of the lost will be found, eventually, dead or alive. Disappearances, after all, have explanations.
Usually.
