Okay I gotta weigh in on the discourse bc I am a career coach in real life: bringing a coffee/thermos/beverage to an interview isn’t automatically disqualifying on its own and shouldn’t be BUT it does raise flags about you depending on the role and company you’re interviewing for. it just depends

you don't get this kind of writing in the new york times www.404media.co/woman-arrest...
Police detained Powell, a freelance photographer in Springfield, as people filed out of the room. “I don’t have a lot of experience getting tickets or being detained,” Powell told 404 Media. “So this is kind of new for me.”

Footage obtained by 404 Media showed several people leaving the city council meeting and yelling at city leaders. Powell said he was the only person put in handcuffs, detained, and ticketed at that moment. The Springfield Police Department did not return 404 Media’s request for comment.

“Well, I said: ‘Jeff Schrag is a cuck.’ I said: ‘Fuck you Jeff.’ I said: ‘Worthless’ and then, also, the final thing I said was: ‘Jeff Schrag has a tiny, stinky, cock,’” Powell explained. “I just let myself get handcuffed and let them do whatever power trip they wanted to do. Got my ticket and left.”

Powell said he was only in handcuffs for five minutes. “They just wanted to put on a show,” he explained. Powell added that he planned to fight the charge in court. “I’ve already sought legal representation, so we’re going to see where it gets […] I don’t think I should have been put in cuffs. I read the law, the city ordinance, and it said that I should have just been asked to leave.”

The cover for a book, "Writing BASIC Adventure Programs for the TRS-80", by Frank DaCosta. The call text reads, "Create exciting computer games while you learn valuable new programming techniques!" A dragon curls around a TRS-80, taking a swipe at a knight who is standing on the keyboard, his sword raised to take a swing at the fearsome beastie perched on the monitor and disk drives.

**Lights Out Alert Sunday & Monday Nights** Birdcast is estimating 300-400 million birds will be in flight.
From meteorologist Eric Snitil

**Lights Out Alert Sunday & Monday Nights**

"Heads up birders, I would not be surprised if the biggest bird migration night of the year happens over the next 2 nights. Birdcast is estimating 300-400 million birds will be in flight. That is a lot, but the pattern could not be better for migratory birds. A massive area of high pressure will turn the low level winds from the northeast to the southwest across most of the US. The last time we had anything similar to this in the fall was early October last year when a record 1.25 billion birds were in flight. I doubt we get to that level, but I suspect the number will top 500 million especially Monday night which looks to be the bigger of the two nights. You can help by turning off those outdoor lights on big migration nights, and the next 2 nights is about as big as it gets."

the-art-of-autism.com/understandin...
That is why I would like to explain what is meant by 'spectrum' when we talk about the 'autistic spectrum'.
Sometimes when people think of this word, they think of the autism spectrum as being like this:
Not autistic
Very autistic
A very linear looking 'spectrum', which gives the impression that people range from being
'a little autistic' to 'very autistic'.
Hm. How can you be
'a little autistic'?
It's that vague language
that I always Find confusing. The problem with thinking of the spectrum in this way, is that a perception of an autistic person also becomes linear.
You're only a little autistic, Archie.
Hm. I still don't understand, can you be less vague?
You're able to have a normal conversation with me and act
pretty normal! You're not severely autistic.
Not autistic
Very autistic
...Ano so you see, if someone thinks you're on a 'low end' of this spectrum, this often happens:
Archie you can handle all of this just Fine, you're not that autistic.
Situations,
LACK
'SNART
tight clothing
ROUTENE
Toadsa Call at Conversatils once
DON'T FIDGET BE MOREAh.
ANCTLIKE EVER
How can you be tired? everyone
FiAn!: BUTCONCE
does this every day, you're just being lazy.
nE IN
HARDER ABO
LOXMIORE
INFORMATE
AND LOoK
NORMAL W
DOING IT
Wow you're
STISRWES
PEOPL
being so over dramatic, get over if!
GET
ANG(
Woah, you're more autistic than
I thought.
And if you're seen as being on the high end' of this spectrum-
I'm gonna re-label you on this spectrum...
Since you're very autistic
I don't think you should have a job, just to be safe y'know?
It can lead to some people labeling you as being incapable of doing anything at all.
Not autistic
Very autisticThe spectrum consists of many different
'traits', or ways in which the brain processes information.
Language
•
Some traits create difficulties in every day life.
(hence being diagnosed)
motor skills
Sensory filter
•
Perception
erecutive fuction
But also many traits are useful in every day life.
Each person with autism will have a set of traits all
in different areas of the spectrum.
The areas where they don't have a trait will function no differently to a neurotypical brain, but may be affected by circumstances.
In example, I am good at making
conversation (language). But I get sensory overload in loud and crowded spaces, which then makes conversation very hard for me.

This works best with conservatives, because admitting that right wing politics has delivered this result is a sort of double narcissistic injury. 1st because they'd have to admit fault. 2nd because their ideology requires financial struggles to be waved away as strictly personal failures.

When y'all are done with ed sheeran, please do the same to all those SOULLESS celebrities who have been SILENT in the face of genocide. E.g. beyonce, jayz, etc.
