Adding this one to the pile

This film is not real. It is the output of a game. The title, description, cast, crew, rating, quotes, and scores are all invented.
You cannot ransom a saint.
Stealing the Sixteenth

Springfield, 1876. To free his imprisoned engraver and the plates that made them rich, a master counterfeiter (Denzel Washington) plots to steal Lincoln's body from its tomb and hold it for ransom. A debt-ridden forger (Sebastian Stan) digs the tunnel; a Secret Service agent (Patrick Wilson) closes in from Chicago; the cemetery's caretaker (David Thewlis) sells his silence to both sides. On election night the vault opens, and the nation's most guarded grave decides who walks out of it alive.
Denzel Washington · Sebastian Stan · David Thewlis and Patrick Wilson
a Steven Spielberg film
R
for grisly images, some violence and language
Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian

It's a really fun game, because you can start with some level of intentionality. BLANK sounds like a good premise, Let me build my preferred movie for this actor/director/genre. But if you don't get good rolls, you can be stuck with hard choices. Or just let the dice decide and see what results.

Okay, this might be my new favorite thing

Sixty years undercover. Nobody retires an asset that never dies.
Dead Drops

An undead CIA operative who has run the same cover since 1948, Russell Crowe survives on bagged blood supplied by his handler, Nicolas Cage, a Agency doctor losing his nerve after sixty years of forged cleanups. A Vatican auditor sent to decommission them both, Kathryn Hahn, discovers the asset's confessions are being read aloud in Moscow. The ancient spymistress who turned him, Olympia Dukakis, wants her property back. Every act of tradecraft is now an act of penance, and the blood on the file is his.
Russell Crowe · Nicolas Cage · Kathryn Hahn and Olympia Dukakis

I know it didn't score well, but I can see the appeal.

The reading of the will. Attendance is mandatory.
Seance

A dying cattle baron, Charlton Heston, summons four estranged kin to his Montana ranch, where the inheritance passes not to the eldest but to whoever survives one night of his late father's parlor game — a century-old ring-toss of debts that plays for actual years of a life. An ordained mortician, John Goodman, deals each round. The ranch's blind foreman, Morgan Freeman, keeps score nobody can see. A bail-bondsman nephew, Denis Leary, breaks the first rule. The dead then join the conversation.
Charlton Heston · John Goodman · Morgan Freeman · Denis Leary
a Robert Altman film
R
for strong language, some violent images and brief nudity
Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian
“The ranch dinner scene where everyone talks over Heston was great, honestly. Wish the game itself had rules.”

“Altman's camera eavesdrops on ghosts; Leary's death scene almost earns it.”

It is funny how grant’s life arc is straight out of a movie. Working a sorta shitty dead end job (tho ok yeah he’d gotten back on his feet a little) and then gets the chance to do the one thing he’s been good at.

I am tired of hearing Republicans brutally misrepresented by unflattering & biased slogans like "Mass Deportation Now" & "Lock Her Up". If you actually talk to them you can learn useful new things like "germs aren't real" & "black people would do the same things to us if they could"

The times I've tried converting to mouse/keyboard from controller, I've bounced off it because, for me, it was hard to replicate being able to use the R Stick to just rotate consistently in a direction. But if I could do that thru pedals, I think m/k would otherwise have worked for me.

This is why my org has this (so far) foolproof 2-step method of fraud prevention in hiring: 1) On the station you're sitting in front of, search "where am I," with location-sharing enabled. 2) You then have to physically pick up the webcam and show us the resulting screen Boomer screenshot-style.

I may have terminal corporate middle-manager brain, but the actual, *competent* thing you do here is tie it to incentives that cost nothing. - You can sit whenever there's no line. - If there've been no complaints about you that week, you can spend you whole "Friday" seated. Seems obvious to me 🤷‍♂️

Another issue is when schools respond to this by "tracking" children into specific cohorts (good-bad, smart-stupid, behaved-misbehaved, w/e), the kids who are tracked negatively, despite what we may gripe about, aren't stupid. They notice they're being actively written off and respond accordingly.

2) Like Doordash taught corps the wrong lessons about how much we'll all pay for fast food, ESPN looked at the success of dudebro podcasters and politics streamers and concluded there's a core of viewers who just want 'Correct Opinions' told to them loudly/confidently so they don't have to Think.

Bear with me, this triggered a bit of a Eureka for me, and I want to get it down, but might be disorganized. I think there's 2 major causes caused by disruptors based on observations to other industries likely made by ESPN to kill the classic SportsCenter marathon and most analysis on the channel.
